Kaizou Choujin Schbibinman Zero (改造町人シュビビンマン零)
was developed by NCS and had been intended to release in 1994
but would go on to surface in 1997 for the Super Famicom via the
Satellaview broadcast on March 20, 1997. Its title can be said as
Cyber Citizen Shockman Zero as this reflects that it stands outside
of the original trilogy with two new protagonists in Raita and
Azuki. Rather than be carbon copies of one another, Raita uses
punches and kicks while Azuki uses a sword to vanquish enemies.
Across eight stages, players will fight their way through henchmen
and unique bosses to save the city from the B.B. Dan group.
Unfortunately, once the Satellaview service ended in 2001. The
lack of a physical copies caused some BS-X carts with the game
on it to be sold for thousands of dollars. It wouldn’t see a physical release until 2017 - but only for the Super Famicom in Japan. Media reviews would give the game positive marks, usually stating it as a somewhat easy title but with replayability thanks to its point system revealed at game completion.
